Gina
Lakosta |
|
Australian
anchor event and "Yiragir"
track co-director, used
within the 'One Song'.
Gina Lakosta has been
an incredible source
of inspiration, wisdom,
indigenous and Divine
connection throughout
the dreaming and creation
of the One Song music
and Byron Bay anchor
event. She has lead
us on a deep path into
the heart of this land
of First Light Dreaming
and has provided doorways
of communion and co-creativity
with the elders, musicians,
media, the land and
WHALES themselves. A
deeply in-tune poet
and active steward of
Mother Earth, Gina’s
presence in the One
Song team has rippled
waves of positive light
through the whole project. |
| Elvina
Munir |
Along
with playing stunningly
beautiful Navaho flute
throughout the beginning
and end sections of
the One Song, Elvina
has played a wonderful
energetic and logistical
piece in building the
Australian anchor event
in Byron Bay. And we
are honored to have
Elvina and harpist Daeva
Skye performing as Celestial
Dreaming during the
Solstice Celebration
at Star Seed Gardens.
Their music is an improvised
creation produced entirely
with acoustic instruments.
This fresh approach
to creating meditative
ambience instills in
the listener a sense
of relaxation and well
being induced by the
natural harmonics of
these “organic”
sounds. |
| Dan
Schrieber |
Owner
of the Star Seed Water
Gardens, host of the
One Song Solstice Celebration
- Whale and Water Blessing.
What Dan is creating
at Star Seed is truly
a template for sacred
gathering and co-creativity
in the New Earth. We
are grateful for his
support and visionary
impulses around the
project and for offering
to provide a space for
us to build a CENTER
FOR HUMAN – CETACEAN
COMMUNION and RESEARCH
on his land. Proceeds
of the anchor event
will go toward sparking
this project and we
look forward to the
possibiltiies of one
day having a global
center for the ONE SONG
and Peace in the Water
projects here in Byron
Bay. |
| Luis
Walker |
Luis
Walker, an aboriginal
elder from the Widjimbul
people of Byron Bay,
NSW, Australia.
Luis
Walker offers a special
gift to this years project
with offering of Sacred
chant, spoken words,
didgeridoo, clapping
sticks in this powerful
Yiragir song.
Gina
Lakosta went on to explain
that Luis is a “Law
Man” of his tribe
– the Widjimbul
people. His role and
the prophecy of him
is to be a bridge between
the wisdom and way of
his people and the western
world. In effect he
has been chosen to share
essence of Creation
Song with the wider
world with the purpose
of bringing unity once
again to the tribes. |
| Bunna
Lawrie |
| Bunna
Lawrie, Song man of the
Mirning people of South
Australia. Bunna
arrived into the project
with a calm profoundness,
introducing the energy
and essence of Mirdinjar,
or “Creation Song”...
A song that can be heard
in the whispers of the
breeze and the call
of the eagle... The
dance of light on water
and song of whales.
Bunna’s role as
song man is to bring
this song of creation
back to the people.
Bunna (who stars in
the recent Australian
feature documentary,
Whale Dreamers) has
brought wonderful energy,
wisdom and music to
the creation of the
One Song and he will
play live with is band,
The Whale Dreamers,
at the live anchor event
in Byron Bay. |
